U.S. Air Force, Retired

I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and feel like I was the typical Midwestern kid who played high school football, had supper after church at my grandparents and joined the military after high school.  So, I joined the Air Force in September of 1995 attending Basic Military Training before going on to Security Police School at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. I am very lucky to have been stationed and traveled to several states and countries during my nearly 25 year career before I retired in 2020.  Additionally, served in support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, ALLIED FORCE, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.  I have held a few other positions outside the Security Police career field as a Professional Military Instructor, Resiliency Program Manager and Career Advisor.  These last few positions of my military career really helped me decide what I wanted to do post military, and that is continue to counsel. I have been a certified Resiliency and John Maxwell instructor and am certified by the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training course. I am the Chief, Education and Training at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska continuing to help our service members with their education and professional development goals.

My family, wife Jennifer and daughter Hannah, fell in love with Alaska and the life style that comes with it.  We love to do everything Alaska has to offer, camp, ride atvs, side by sides, & snowmachines, fish, raft, kayak, hike and anything else that gets us outside enjoying the state.  We also support our local and veteran communities by volunteering for several events a year.

I am very thankful to have the opportunity to support my fellow brothers and sisters through Battle Dawgs!
