Jeremiah Brewington is Alaska born and raised, he grew up in the Wasilla and spend summers and winter breaks on his Grandfathers homestead about a mile from Eklutna Lake.  This is where Jeremiah garnered his love for the outdoors.  While at the homestead, he, along with his two older brothers and countless cousins would spend their time hunting squirrels and rabbits or fishing Eklutna Lake.  Hiking and camping was the normal everyday activities for Jeremiah while growing up.

Between Jeremiahs junior and senior year at Colony High School, he enlisted in the US Army Reserves and attended Basic Training at Charlie Battery 1/19 Field Artillery, Fort Sill Oklahoma.  After Basic Training Jeremiah returned to Alaska where he completed his senior year of high school while attending monthly drills in the 813th Engineer Battalion at Fort Richardson in Anchorage (now called Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson) throughout his final high school year.  Upon graduation Jeremiah was sent to Gulfport Mississippi’s Naval Construction Training Center where he learned basic construction and combat engineer skills.  Jeremiah Graduated from his Advanced Individual Training at the Top of his class.  Upon arrival back to his reserve unit he was immediately promoted to E-4.

Jeremiah spend the remaining month of the summer drilling in the reserves and working at the recruiting station while all while doing miscellaneous jobs for family and friends to make ends meet.  When winter hit, Jeremiah decided to leave reserve status and become active duty.  December of 1996 Jeremiah was stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia.  Then he would spend five years and deployed several times to areas that include Egypt and Puerto Rico. As well as would regularly be ready to deploy in support of the 1/75 Ranger Battalion.

During his time in Georgia, Jeremiah met his first wife and they had two children together. In 2001, he was PCS’d to Fort Lewis, Washington.  Jeremiah spent the remaining almost 13 years at Fort Lewis where he deployed several more times before 2003 when he went to his first tour in Iraq.  Jeremiah was attached to the 11th Attack Helicopter Regiment for the first few months of the invasion.  He deployed to Afghanistan and once more to Iraq throughout the years following.  Jeremiah received many commendations including a Bronze Star Medal for his action in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Jeremiah has remarried after his divorce in 2011, and now has five children, from the ages of 20 to 24 (his and hers combo). He moved back to Alaska in 2016 with his family and once again lives in Wasilla Alaska where he spends his time running Aurora Knight Gunsmithing and volunteering for several different veterans organizations in a variety of capacities.  His wife Bambi Brewington assists with the bookkeeping for the Gunsmithing business as well as volunteers for organizations such as military children of the year and Elizabeth Dole foundations Hidden Heroes.
