Zach Schultes has been assisting Battle Dawgs since 2015 as a nonprofit consultant and business advisor. Growing up in Richmond, VA, he attended an all-male military preparatory school and graduated magna cum laude as a Cadet First Lieutenant but ultimately decided to accept an academic scholarship to Virginia Tech instead pursuing a career as a military officer. Zach earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech in 2010 and his Juris Doctor from the Regent University School of Law in 2013.  He owns a business consulting firm and works with nonprofit boards and business owners as an advisor focused on strategic development and long-term growth. 

 

Though he is not a veteran himself, many family members and others close to him have served in the military and Zach has a passion for serving veterans. He has been invited to speak as a guest lecturer on social entrepreneurship, corporate law, small business, and nonprofit management at multiple universities and organizations, and has taught lectures for veterans in the areas of entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Away from work, Zach can be found spending time with his family and dogs, or fly fishing and kayaking around Virginia’s waterways.
